When you bring it in, we will flush out the old transmission fluid and replace it with new fluid, examine the sump pump or pan if possible, replace or clean the transmission filter, clean the pan, and install a new pan gasket.

What type of transmission fluid do I need?
The type of vehicle you have will determine the type of transmission fluid needed. Automatic transmissions use a special (ATF) fluid. There are a few more options for manual transmissions such as motor oil, hypoid gear oil, and in some cases automatic transmission fluid. 

How often should I get my transmission serviced?
Automatic transmissions generate more heat which causes the automatic transmission fluid to break down and degrade over time. Most manufacturers suggest automatic cars  be serviced every 60,000 - 100,000 miles.

Manual transmissions are easily contaminated over time as metal bearings and gears inside the transmission begin to wear down. These little metal particles float around the transmission fluid and cause it to no longer lubricate as effectively. If these contaminants aren’t drained out regularly they with shorter the life of your car’s transmission. Most manufacturers recommend transmission service be performed every 30,000-60,000 miles.
